China's factory activity gauge improved marginally in September, but was still below the 50-point mark that separates contraction from expansion, official data showed on Monday.

Data from the National Bureau of Statistics showed that China's official purchasing managers index for the manufacturing sector came in at 49.8 in September, up from 49.1 in August. The figure remained in contraction for a fifth consecutive month in September.
9月，制造業(yè)采購經(jīng)理指數(shù)（PMI）、非制造業(yè)商務(wù)活動指數(shù)和綜合PMI產(chǎn)出指數(shù)分別為50.2%、51.7%和52%，比上月上升0.5、0.7和0.7個百分點，其中制造業(yè)PMI系時隔5個月重返擴張區(qū)間。
Zhao Qinghe, an NBS statistician, explained that September's manufacturing uptick was supported by a recovery in both supply and demand, with improvement in the subindexes for production and new orders.
國家統(tǒng)計局服務(wù)業(yè)調(diào)查中心高級統(tǒng)計師趙慶河表示，9月制造業(yè)的增長受到供需兩方面復(fù)蘇的支持，生產(chǎn)和新訂單分類指數(shù)有所改善。
The sub-index for production was 51.2 in September versus 49.8 in August, while the gauge for new orders came in at 49.9 in September, up from 48.9 in August, the NBS reported.
分類指數(shù)方面，生產(chǎn)指數(shù)為51.2%，比上月上升1.4個百分點，升至臨界點以上；新訂單指數(shù)為49.9%，比上月上升1.0個百分點，創(chuàng)5個月新高；
China's non-manufacturing PMI, which includes subindexes for service sector activity and construction, came in at 50 in September, down from 50.3 in August. Official services PMI meanwhile declined to 49.9 in September from 50.2 in August.
非制造業(yè)PMI方面，9月，非制造業(yè)商務(wù)活動指數(shù)為50.0%，比上月下降0.3個百分點。分行業(yè)看，建筑業(yè)商務(wù)活動指數(shù)上升0.1個百分點至50.7%，服務(wù)業(yè)商務(wù)活動指數(shù)下降0.3個百分點至49.9%。
The country's official composite PMI, which encompasses both manufacturing and non-manufacturing activities, rose from 50.1 in August to 50.4 in September, remaining in the expansion territory.
隨著供需兩端受到有效提振，制造業(yè)PMI指數(shù)最快將在10月升至50%以上，重返擴張區(qū)間，整個四季度制造業(yè)PMI指數(shù)都可能運行在擴張區(qū)間。
