In his address, Levan Zalkaliani highlighted the growing partnership between Georgia and China, noting the strong political trust and economic cooperation. “The friendship between Georgia and China clearly demonstrates that our partnership is growing stronger. Today’s meeting is an opportunity to explore the potential of our regions in various directions and expand cooperation possibilities,” said Zalkaliani. He also stressed the importance of China as an import market for Imeretian wine and the expansion of trade routes between the regions.

Once completed, the project will significantly reduce travel times, improve road safety, and boost economic development in the region.
